Products decoration

Colour and transparency: pad printing, silk-screen printing and hot stamping

In addition to the realization of plastic products and plastic moulding, our company offers an additional service to its customers: the decoration of the products. The technical applications used in this phase are various and get different results depending on the customer’s needs.

Pad Printing

Pad printing is an indirect printing process that lets allows the accurate and high resolution reproduction of drawings, writings and decorations, both on flat surfaces and on concave, convex or generally uneven surfaces. It can be defined as a system that allows you to transfer 2D images and graphics onto 3D surfaces. Pad printing lets you print with a higher resolution than silk-screen printing, allowing the reproduction of even the subtlest traits with sharpness, and with more colours.

Silk-screen printing

Silk-screen printing is an established technique in industrial printing, widely used in all applications where a higher ink thickness is required, compared to other printing techniques currently available, resulting in better coverage and better colour rendering.

Hot stamping

Hot stamping is a typographic printing system based on the use of heat and pressure combined. The technique has the great advantage of eliminating ink from the printing process, replacing it with foil. Hot stamping is therefore regarded as an ecological process.

Robotic deposition of fluids

Modern industrial fluids are often complex and expensive, ranging from watery liquids to very thick pastes. These materials are critical components in the assembly process and require careful handling to increase the yield and to ensure consistent quality.

Therefore, in UNICA MMP their deposition takes place using a 3-axis Cartesian robot equipped with an electro-pneumatic measuring device and a needle valve capable of ensuring micro-precise and repetitive depositions in points or lines.
